Why do people commit crimes?
There are many reasons why people commit crimes. There are also some strange circumstances too. And when you catch someone committing a crime, you can never assume why, because you can never know. So lets look at the reasons why someone might commit a crime;

Because they can, It could seem to the criminal that in the world they live in, they can do as they please.

It could be because maybe they were bullied into committing the crime.

It could even be to look cool in front of the mates.

The situation might be that the person committing the crime has a disorder.

If it is a child, maybe they aren't getting enough care at home

and sometimes when the crime is something like stealing, it can be because the family the thief has come from can't afford the item stolen...i.e. food.
